This is my 2011 art project: I'm going to attempt to do one drawing every day of the year. The drawings can be any medium, any size, any level of care and completion. I'm looking forward to seeing how my work evolves and improves, and whether this practice helps me to be more organized and "together" in the rest of my life pursuits.

7/26/11

Spotlight

This is a clip-on spotlight (unlit), clipped to the top of my camera tripod. I used to use this tripod to take these photos for my drawing blog, but now it's occupied holding this spotlight, which is pointed at the ceiling to cause reflected light to brighten my painting on the easel. I use a different spotlight to light the still life ("C") I'm working on (irregularly.) So now I have to hold my camera by hand to take these pictures, but the anti-shake feature does a great job of getting it in focus.
