This is my 2011 art project: I'm going to attempt to do one drawing every day of the year. The drawings can be any medium, any size, any level of care and completion. I'm looking forward to seeing how my work evolves and improves, and whether this practice helps me to be more organized and "together" in the rest of my life pursuits.

My slippers
It's Late girl... you should be asleep! I think it's amusing that you're drawing you bedroom slippers just about as I'm drawing my bathrobe. I guess we're both just longing to turn in. I know, I know; start earlier!! Arg!
ReplyDeleteThese remind me how much I like my own slippers, and am wearing them well beyond when I ought to have replaced them, but they still keep my feet warm and cozy enough. I like that little rectangle of white whatever inside the left one; makes me take a second look at all that is going on.
ReplyDeleteHah, thanks! I drew this at 7:30 pm, not after midnight, which is probably when you got the email. I just scribbled it out. It felt great to draw like that, after so many careful drawings. The white rectangle in the slipper is the label. I sometimes wear these to drive Alex places, if I don't have to get out of the car!
